On a beautiful crisp day in early September, Shannon & Tyler brought 60 of their closest friends and family together to witness their wedding at South Pond Farms.
The first time they visited South Pond Farms it brought tears to their eyes as they envisioned “tying the knot” on the gorgeous property. And after experiencing it for ourselves, we can totally see why. The property is surrounded by so much beauty – nature as far as you can see – and the most quaint little barn with unique vintage decor. A large portion of the food served at South Pond is from their own farm (or other farms in the area), and all the guests enjoyed cocktail hour by sipping signature drinks, playing games, and eating wood oven pizza.
When it came to their photography experience, Shannon & Tyler were looking for photos that would capture the connection and emotion between themselves and their loved ones present that day. They wanted a documentary style with a focus on un-staged candid moments, so we immediately knew we’d be a great fit. We loved being a “fly on the wall” during this wedding day, capturing each moment as it naturally unfolded. For their bride and groom photos we snuck out to the forest and pond area behind the barn and let Shan & Tyler explore for a bit together. It was such a peaceful experience. We love that they will always be able to look back on their wedding day and remember the feeling of warmth, calm and ease.
For any couples looking for the perfect laid-back outdoor venue to host their wedding, we cannot recommend this place enough. They provide in-house planning, family style farm-to-table dinner sourced with local ingredients, craft cocktails and antique decor. Danielle (the owner) arranged all of Shannon and Tyler’s centrepieces and bouquets straight from her garden. Just putting it out into the universe that we would LOVE to photograph another wedding at South Pond Farms in the future!
