Samantha and Adam stole our hearts from the moment we met them. They invited us over to their home where we ate burgers on their patio and swapped stories all night. Sam is an incredibly talented wedding photographer herself, so the fact that she chose me to capture her own wedding was an honour. Her and Adam were one of the most laid back couples we’ve ever worked with. They trusted us in a way that was completely refreshing, and also made us want to work that much harder to create magic for them.
Sam & Adam designed their wedding day to be centred solely around their love (for each other, and for their families). They weren’t about the bells & whistles, and on more than one occasion they made it clear that they didn’t even really care what we captured or didn’t capture. For them, it was about being in the moment and spending time with their loved ones.
They said their vows in a chapel on a hill that held so much meaning to them. Not only because it was the place where Sam’s own parents got married years before, but because there was a beautiful stain-glass window above them that was dedicated to Sam’s late baby sister. Following the ceremony, they went out to her grave and sang “All You Need is Love” as they cried, laughed and embraced their guests.
Their wedding day was truly overflowing with emotion. Evan captured it all PERFECTLY, I dare you to watch the second part of this video without tearing up.
