I am so excited to share this “intimate forest wedding at Whispering Springs” with you guys!
Whenever we talk to potential clients we try to give them an idea of our style and approach to capturing weddings (just so they know what to expect when working with us!). However we’re always very clear that SO much of what we do is actually dependant on the specific couple in front of our lens. Our photos and films are always reflective of each couple we work with. It’s one of my favourite parts about this job, because no two wedding days are the same.
For example, sometimes when we arrive on the morning of a wedding we find the bridesmaids blasting their favourite music as they dance around with excitement. But other times we arrive into moments of peaceful quiet, of soft embraces and hushed gasps as the mother-of-the-bride secures the veil in place. Every couple is different and every wedding is unique. And it’s in these special moments – whether loud or quiet, big or small – that I feel so dang lucky to be the one entrusted with capturing the story as it unfolds.
So on this beautiful day in late August at Whispering Springs, I couldn’t help but feel utterly humbled that Jessica and Robert chose us to document their memories for them. They are two incredibly kind and heart-felt people, and we knew their wedding day was going to be special. Jessica could have been a wedding planner in another life, because every part of their wedding day was perfectly planned. She incorporated so many details that were thoughtful and intentional, like their hand-drawn invitation suite, forest chapel wedding ceremony, unique Photo Booth bus during cocktail hour, games and colouring books for the kids, and a late night bonfire.
If you follow me on social media you’ll already know how much I love Whispering Springs, and how I jump for joy whenever we get to go back. They have the best staff, a beautiful property, and it just feels like you’re on vacation the second you get there. Robert and his guys made the most of the venue and spent the morning hanging out and swimming in the pool. So by the time we got there everyone was in the best mood, and one of Rob’s groomsmen almost attended the ceremony in his swim trunks lol. We loved every part of this intimate forest wedding at Whispering Springs and hope you enjoy some of our favourite shots below.
