Jenny and Brian’s free-spirited farm wedding took place on beautiful family property, with rolling Ontario hills and fields of wildflowers growing tall. They wanted their wedding day to reflect a sense of play, whimsy and silliness. They are both so much fun to be around, are incredibly kind, outgoing yet super chill, and just downright silly. They have big hearts and wear them on their sleeves.
On the morning of the wedding, their entire bridal party went for a group run up a ridiculously large hill and ended off by jumping in the pond. If I could sum up the vibe of the entire day it would be FUN. Although you can’t convince me that running is fun for anyone, but to each his own lol.
Before I go on, I thought I’d share this excerpt that I snagged straight from the bride & groom’s wedding website just to give you an idea of how adorable and hilarious they are…
(Regarding their first date) “After a few minutes of human conversation Jenny made a robot sound effect (beep boop beep), when explaining the ferry journey to her family’s summer home in British Columbia. This sound effect sent Brian head over heels. He loves sound effects, you see.
They went on other dates that included finding rooftops and lakefront paths, enjoying science fiction themed board games and never eating at a restaurant. We made many boxes of mac and cheese, ran a triathlon, and even went to the opera once. Once was enough for Brian.
After many road trips and breakfast sandwiches, Brian’s cat, named Chicken, accepted Jenny as a pretty ok food distribution machine and we fell in love.”
We absolutely love when couple’s allow their unique personalities & quirks to shine through on their wedding day. And these two did just that. They laughed, they cried, they drank Malort (still not sure why) and they snuck kisses every chance they could get. I don’t think I saw Jenny without a big smile on her face all day long. It also helps that she has a perfect smile, just sayin.
Some more highlights of this “free-spirited farm wedding” and then I’ll let the photos speak for themselves… Jenny is a DIY queen and had shibori dyed fabric decorating the reception & ceremony space, her dad made enough pies to feed an army (or just Evan), someone set off impromptu fireworks in a field, I doused myself with so much bug spray my hair was crunchy and everyone partied the night away under the stars. IT WAS MAGICAL.
