We typically avoid leaving our house in the winter (I was not built for Canada) and to be honest we always feel nervous for winter weddings. There’s no telling what will happen weather-wise, and we’ve frozen our buns off one too many times. But we knew that Jaime & Cam were incredible people from the moment we met them, and that they would be worth venturing out into the cold for. And it turns out they know how to throw a killer winter wedding. First things first, they invested in a photo permit at Allan Gardens so that we could capture their wedding photos in a warm & beautiful green space (key word = warm). For anyone who’s tried to take photos at Allan Gardens before, you know that the permit fee is mighty high, but Jaime & Cam knew it would be worth it (and we are happy to report that it DEFINITELY was).
The ceremony & reception all took place at the lovely Storys Building in downtown Toronto. You guys, this venue is a dreaaaaaam. The industrial & rustic charm of the space worked beautifully with J & C’s modern & classic style. Jaime & Cam, along with the incredible Veronique from Rebecca Chan Weddings, ensured that the space was overflowing with candles & string lights overhead which made for the most dreamy photos. Seriously, they are some of my favourite reception photos eva eva.
Below are some of my fav shots from their day, along with some words from the bride and groom themselves. And OF COURSE, the best part of all, the incredible film Evan made for them with real old school super 8mm film incorporated throughout. It’s amazing. Hit that fullscreen button, sit back, relax, and cry your eyes out. And then come back to look at my photos too 😉 byeee
